– With his epic win over #11 Milos Raonic ( he even saved 1 MP, winning 7-5 in the fifth), the talented frenchman Richard Gasquet finally broke his curse of not progressing further than R4 in any Grand Slam since Wimbledon 2007 [ till yesterday he had a 1-14 record on GS R4’s].

A look at Edouard Roger-Vasselin

– The son of Christophe Roger-Vasselin, former Roland Garros semifinalist beating Connors is perhaps the best active player without an ATP SF. Despite being a pretty complete player ( he doesn’t have a real weakness in his game), having a good ranking (#74) and having beaten players like Del Potro, Melzer, Stepanek, Chela or Roddick his first ATP SF is still to come.
